Kong P.

We made it! It seemed like a million airplane rides - but really only three. The layover is Paris was fantastic, a quick trip to see the Tour Eiffel, breakfast and cafe au lait at a little street side cafe... well would have, but we really had only a few hours - a girl can dream, and thats actually just what I did as I slept on P.'s shoulder for 2 hours since I didn't sleep well on the 8 hour flight over, flying with a cold is uber pathetic. So since I slept instead of enjoying the apple tart and orangina that P. found for us to snack on - I was famished by the time lunch arrived on the Air France flight. I can't explain it - but it was amazingly good! A piece of president camembert, a mini tomato quiche with fresh spinach, some multi-seed bread and sparkle water. With a dessert of chocolate mousse cake. YUM.


Once in Kobenhavn we headed directly to our hotel the Kong Arthur.

Our room is quite modern, although the hotel buildings themselves date back to 1882 as a home for traveling apprentices.

Recently the hotel joined a Danish alliance of CO2 Neutral Hotels.






We have a nice window and with the windows open you hear the subtle sounds of the courtyard below. Then, after a nice nap we set out to dinner.


P. knows his was around really well - after all he has been frequenting the city for years. We hoppen on the S train and after a short walk past the planetarium and some theaters, we were at the Le Le Cafe for delicious Vietnamese. We ate soutside wraped in blankets. And nothing could have been better than soup and this place had soup that was overloaded with flavor with every spoonful I tasted something new and fresh.
